General indications:

-You can find the operating instructions of the safes in the Technical DATASHEET section of this WEBsite

- We recommend using new, alkaline and good quality batteries. Always check the expiration of the same.

- Keep the instructions  and any keys outside the safe

-Never lubricate the locks with Svitol or generic oil (it is preferable to use specific lubricants such as WD40, CRC56 super).

KEY SAFES

-The key does not turn: contact our Customer Service

- I lost my keys: if both keys have been lost, please contact our Customer Service.

If you need only one copy instead, you can obtain it in a key duplication center, by contacting your retailer or directly at Stark.

MECHANICAL COMBINATION SAFES

- The lock does not open: check the accuracy of the combination and execute the approach maneuvers to the numbers with extreme precision. Finally, if it does not open, contact the Assistance Service.

ELECTRONIC COMBINATION SAFES

-I forgot my combination: if the safe is with digital lock and emergency key, Pls use the emergency key for opening

-You will hear a double beep on the keys: the battery is low, you must replace it using, in case of closed door, the external power supply or the emergency key

-The keyboard rings without being touched: the lock is not working, the intervention of a technician is necessary.

- The C key does not sound: the safe - electronically - is already closed. Try to dial yr personal code once again, the press R+C for closure ( only for digital safes with locj gama M01, M05, M01AR)
  • Is better a wallsafe or a free standing safe?

The wall safes offer a high level of security, both because they are easier to hide than for the difficulty encountered by the attacker in trying to remove it from the wall.

Furniture safes are an excellent solution for safety and ease of installation, requiring no masonry work. The furniture safes are very simple to install, fixing is done by special screws  which make the removal extremely difficult.

  • What kind of door lock is better?

    Key lock (Key = simplicity!)

This type of lock is certainly the easiest to use, but you must keep the keys with care, always outside the safe.
In case of loss of both keys it will be necessary the of a technician’s intervention is always at the charge of to the customer, for this reason it is recommended to always keep a duplicate.

Mechanical combination lock (mechanical combination = high security!)

This type of lock has the advantage of not requiring keys, also changing the combination regularly can raise the security level. However, manipulation requires a certain manuality, in particular for the change of the combination.
For better security, it is preferable to change the combination regularly and we suggest to set a personal code different from the original one.

Key and mechanical combination lock (Key and combination = double security!)

With this type of locking, the personal combination must be unlocked before using the key.
The double locking system allows the safe opening only to those who possess both keys and combination number.
For better security, it is preferable to change the combination regularly and we suggest to set a personal code different from the original one.

Electronic combination lock(electronic combination = simplicity and technology!)

The electronic combination lock is the most modern locking system and it’s easier to use thanks to the digital keyboard. For better security, it is preferable to change the combination regularly and we suggest to set a personal code different from the original one.

  • How to install a wall safe

This type of safe can only be installed inside a thick and solid wall. The wall thickness must be at least 10 centimeters more than the depth of the safe.
The wall in which the safe will be bulwork must be dry, in a room with minimun temperature range to avoid condensation inside the safe. The recessed hole must be wider of a few centimeters than the safe to be installed. The execution of a good masonry increases safety.

Prepare the concrete with a mixture of sand and gravel in equal parts, add cement in the ratio of a quarter of the total volume, roll out a layer in order to form the support surface of the safe, then check that it is perfectly leveled in a vertical position . Finally fill the remaining spaces. Wait for the complete drying, leaving the safe door open

Place the safe in a dry and moisture-free place. • Do not place the safe with the door facing backwards (correct opening direction: from right to left)

  • How to install a free standing safe

This type of safe can be installed in any situation, both on outside or inside a piece of furniture. The installation requires just a few minutes and it’s done through the holes on the back or bottom, using the most appropriate plugs.

Place the safe in a dry and moisture-free place. Do not place the safe with the door facing backwards (correct opening direction: from right to left)

  • What should i do in case of failure of the safe?

You can contact our Technical Assistance Service at no.+39  0522/653745 keeping a copy of the receipt or purchase invoice necessary for assistance covered by warranty.

  • What is the duration of the warranty?

The duration of the warranty is one year if the sale is completed with the issue of VAT (invoice) and two years with the receipt.

It is therefore recommended at the time of purchase to keep the receipt for the necessary time, otherwise the warranty will decay.
